Corey’s Thoughts: Building Quietly

A short personal note on building small apps, staying consistent, and why quiet progress works.

Corey’s Thoughts: Hello, World

Hey — I’m Corey. This is the first post in a small stream of personal notes I’ll keep alongside the app updates and release posts.

I’m an electrical engineer from Australia who loves building quiet, practical software. I live with my dog Bonti and cat Mrs Puddington, and I spend a lot of time thinking about how to make tools feel simple, fast, and dependable.

If you’ve found this site, you’ll see a few apps I’m working on — but this series is different. It’s not about a specific product. It’s more like a journal of:

  • the small things I learn while building
  • how I’m thinking about focus, habits, and consistency
  • the decisions behind keeping things simple

I’ve learned that progress usually comes from showing up regularly, not from big, dramatic moments. That’s the tone I’m aiming for here — short reflections, occasional updates, and a little bit of context about how I work.

Thanks for reading, and welcome to the beginning. If you have thoughts or want to say hi, you know where to find me.
