The free tier includes:

There’s no trial countdown, no expiry, and no reduced functionality — you have a 2-snippet limit. This is enough to try CodeShelf before committing.

Pro ($4.99 one-time)

Pro unlocks:

Unlimited snippets
Import — bring in snippets from other tools
Export — back up your library or migrate to another machine
All future Pro features

The purchase is a one-time payment. No subscription, no renewal.

How to upgrade

Open CodeShelf from the menu bar
Go to Settings
Tap Upgrade to Pro
Complete the purchase through the Mac App Store

Your snippets and categories are preserved when you upgrade.

Can I try before buying? Yes. The free tier is permanent — add 2 snippets and use them as long as you like before deciding.

Can I move my Pro license to a new Mac? Yes. Pro is tied to your Apple ID. Sign in on your new Mac and restore purchases from Settings.

What happens to my snippets if I uninstall? Your snippets are stored in CoreData on your Mac. Uninstalling removes them. Export your library first if you want a backup.
