Create Your First Location

A location is the top-level container for your network inventory. Each location has its own networks, IP pools, rooms, and devices.

Steps

1. Open Netory and tap + to add a new location
2. Enter a name (e.g. “Home”, “Office”, “Client — Smith Co”)
3. Choose a category: Home, Work, Business, or Client
4. Optionally add a photo from your camera or gallery to visually identify the location
5. Tap Save

Location categories

Category	Use for
Home	Personal home networks
Work	Your employer’s network
Business	Your own business network
Client	Networks you manage for clients

Categories keep the locations list organised and make it easy to separate personal from professional.

Next steps

Once your location is created, add a network to it (with the IP address and subnet mask of your router) before adding devices.

Tip

Store your router login IP and any useful notes in the location’s notes field — you’ll thank yourself next time you need to log in.
