Devices & IP Allocations
Section titled “Devices & IP Allocations”An IP allocation is a record that ties a device to a specific IP address within a pool. When you allocate an IP, you’re documenting which device owns that address.
Adding a device
Section titled “Adding a device”From the pool detail view, tap an unallocated IP to assign it. Fill in the device details:

Tap Save to record the allocation.
Device icons
Section titled “Device icons”Icons help you identify device types at a glance. Netory includes icons for common device types: routers, switches, computers, phones, printers, cameras, smart home devices, and more.
Finding a device’s MAC address
Section titled “Finding a device’s MAC address”The MAC address is useful for router configuration and troubleshooting. Here’s where to find it:
iPhone/iPad: Settings → General → About → Wi-Fi Address
Android: Settings → About Phone → Status → Wi-Fi MAC Address
Mac: System Settings → Network → Wi-Fi → Details → Hardware Address
Windows: Settings → Network & Internet → Properties → Physical address (MAC)
Router admin page: Most routers list connected devices with their MAC addresses in the DHCP client table.
Viewing device details
Section titled “Viewing device details”Tap an allocated IP to open the device info sheet. This shows:
- Device name and icon
- IP address
- Pool name and range
- Room (if assigned)
- MAC address (if set)
- Notes (scrollable if long)
Tap the edit button to update any field.
Editing a device
Section titled “Editing a device”From the device info sheet, tap the edit (pencil) icon. All fields can be updated at any time.
Removing an allocation
Section titled “Removing an allocation”From the pool detail view, swipe left on an allocated IP to remove the device record. The IP becomes unallocated and available for reassignment.
