Networks

Each location has one network — the CIDR block that defines the IP address space for that site. You add the network once, then create pools within it to divide up the range.

Open a location and tap Add Network. Netory offers two input modes:

Enter the network address directly in CIDR notation:

192.168.1.0/24
10.0.0.0/8
172.16.0.0/16

Use this mode if you already know the CIDR of the network. Not sure what CIDR means? See What is a CIDR?

Enter any device IP on the network and its subnet mask:

IP: 192.168.1.100
Mask: 255.255.255.0

Netory calculates the CIDR automatically (192.168.1.0/24). Use this mode when you know a device’s address but not the network notation.

Not sure where to find your IP and subnet mask? See How to Find Your IP and Mask.

Name — give the network a label (e.g. “Main LAN”, “Guest Wi-Fi”).

Gateway — the router IP for this network. Optional, but useful for reference.

Once a network is added, the location detail page shows:

FieldWhat it means
CIDRThe full network block
GatewayThe router IP (if set)
Usable rangeFirst and last usable host addresses
Usable IPsTotal host addresses available in this block
All IPsA full view of every IP in the range with allocation status

Tap the network card on the location detail page to edit the name, gateway, or CIDR.

Deleting the network removes all pools and IP allocations that belong to it. This cannot be undone.
