Networks
Networks
Section titled “Networks”Each location has one network — the CIDR block that defines the IP address space for that site. You add the network once, then create pools within it to divide up the range.
Adding a network
Section titled “Adding a network”Open a location and tap Add Network. Netory offers two input modes:
CIDR mode
Section titled “CIDR mode”Enter the network address directly in CIDR notation:
192.168.1.0/2410.0.0.0/8172.16.0.0/16Use this mode if you already know the CIDR of the network. Not sure what CIDR means? See What is a CIDR?
IP + Mask mode
Section titled “IP + Mask mode”Enter any device IP on the network and its subnet mask:
IP: 192.168.1.100Mask: 255.255.255.0Netory calculates the CIDR automatically (192.168.1.0/24). Use this mode when you know a device’s address but not the network notation.
Not sure where to find your IP and subnet mask? See How to Find Your IP and Mask.
Optional fields
Section titled “Optional fields”Name — give the network a label (e.g. “Main LAN”, “Guest Wi-Fi”).
Gateway — the router IP for this network. Optional, but useful for reference.
What the network overview shows
Section titled “What the network overview shows”Once a network is added, the location detail page shows:
| Field | What it means |
|---|---|
| CIDR | The full network block |
| Gateway | The router IP (if set) |
| Usable range | First and last usable host addresses |
| Usable IPs | Total host addresses available in this block |
| All IPs | A full view of every IP in the range with allocation status |
Editing a network
Section titled “Editing a network”Tap the network card on the location detail page to edit the name, gateway, or CIDR.
Deleting a network
Section titled “Deleting a network”Deleting the network removes all pools and IP allocations that belong to it. This cannot be undone.
