TAP Privacy Policy
This Privacy Addendum applies specifically to the TAP iOS application and supplements the main Privacy Policy. They are to be read in conjunction with each other.
1. Data Collected by TAP
Section titled “1. Data Collected by TAP”TAP is designed to minimise data collection and keep your data on-device by default.
Data You Create
Section titled “Data You Create”TAP stores the content you create within the app, including:
- Task names, intervals, and reminder times
- Log entries and timestamps
- Event names, dates, and emoji
- Life module settings (birthday, horizon date, gender)
- Year progress data (calculated from system date)
This data is created by you and stored locally on your device by default.
Optional Cloud Account Data
Section titled “Optional Cloud Account Data”TAP offers optional cloud sync. This feature is opt-in only and requires you to create an account. If you choose to enable cloud sync:
- Your app data (tasks, logs, events, settings) is encrypted and transmitted to servers hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Your account email address is stored to identify your account
- Data is associated with your account and synced across your devices
If you do not create an account or enable cloud sync, no data leaves your device.
Technical Data
Section titled “Technical Data”TAP may collect limited, anonymous technical data to improve app stability, such as:
- Crash reports (if enabled by the user)
- Basic performance diagnostics
- App version and iOS version
This data does not personally identify you.
2. Data Not Collected
Section titled “2. Data Not Collected”TAP does not collect:
- Location data
- Contacts
- Photos or media
- Advertising or tracking identifiers
- Usage analytics tied to an individual user
- Data shared across other apps or websites
3. Data Storage
Section titled “3. Data Storage”Local storage (default)
Section titled “Local storage (default)”All TAP data is stored locally on your iPhone using SwiftData. No account is required to use any feature of the app except cloud sync.
Cloud storage (opt-in)
Section titled “Cloud storage (opt-in)”If you create an account and enable cloud sync, your data is stored on AWS infrastructure. Data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS. Data at rest is encrypted using AWS-standard encryption.
NFC sticker pairing data is stored locally only — sticker links are never uploaded to the cloud.
4. Purchase Data
Section titled “4. Purchase Data”TAP uses Apple’s StoreKit 2 for in-app purchases and subscriptions. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. TAP does not receive or store your payment information. Purchase receipts are verified through Apple’s servers only.
5. Data Sharing
Section titled “5. Data Sharing”- Data is not sold or shared with advertisers
- Data is not used for marketing or profiling
- Cloud data is stored on AWS but is not accessible to or shared with third parties
6. Deletion
Section titled “6. Deletion”- Local data can be deleted at any time by removing content within the app or uninstalling the app

- Deleting the app removes all locally stored data
