Settings
Settings
Section titled “Settings”Open Settings from the gear icon in TAP. This is where you configure modules, colours, notifications, and your Life timeline.
Module toggles
Section titled “Module toggles”Each of the five modules can be turned on or off independently. Turning a module off removes it from the tab bar — TAP only shows what’s relevant to you.
| Module | Toggle |
|---|---|
| Tasks | On by default |
| Logs | On by default |
| Events | On by default |
| Year | On by default |
| Life | On by default |
Toggle any module back on at any time. Your data is preserved — turning a module off doesn’t delete anything.
Accent colours
Section titled “Accent colours”Each module has its own accent colour used for status dots, history displays, progress bars, and widgets. Tap any module in Settings to change its colour.
Available colours: White, Mint, Teal, Cyan, Gold, Orange, Blue.
Default colours by module:
- Tasks — Mint
- Logs — Cyan
- Events — Teal
- Year — Teal
- Life — Mint
Notifications
Section titled “Notifications”TAP sends reminders at the times you set on each Task. If iOS notification permission has been denied, TAP shows a banner in Settings — tap it to go to iPhone Settings and grant permission.
Notification permission is per-device and set through iOS, not within TAP.
If you want to disable reminders for a specific task without turning off notifications globally, set that task’s reminder to Anytime in the task settings.
Life module settings
Section titled “Life module settings”The Life module has additional configuration:
Birthday — your date of birth. Used to calculate days lived and days remaining.
Horizon date — the end point of your timeline. Set automatically based on gender in Suggested mode, or manually in Manual mode. You can change this any time — some people update it as life expectancy estimates change, or to mark a meaningful milestone age instead.
Gender — used only to calculate the suggested lifespan (Female: 84 years, Male: 80 years, Other: 82 years). Has no other effect.
Neutral mode — replaces mortality-focused language (“Time Left on This Planet”, “days left on this planet”) with plain timeline language (“Life Timeline”, “days remaining in this plan”). The numbers are identical. Neutral mode also applies to the Life widget.
Pricing and the free trial
Section titled “Pricing and the free trial”TAP includes a 3-day free trial that unlocks everything in the app — all five modules, NFC sticker pairing, widgets, and all settings.
After the trial, a single one-time lifetime purchase keeps TAP unlocked permanently. No subscription, no renewal, no recurring charges.
To purchase: Tap Unlock TAP in Settings when the trial ends and complete the purchase through the App Store.
To restore a purchase on a new device: Tap Restore Purchases in Settings. TAP will check your Apple ID and restore your lifetime access automatically.
Your data is never affected by the trial or purchase state — everything you’ve added is preserved.
